Chibi version of the ad mascot for A-Kon 24. You can drag her around - she is transparent! I’m from the 90’s and still think that trick is cool.

FanimeCon in San Jose California is next week! I will be in Artist Alley in the “Art Pool” where all the staff artists are seated. I don’t have a table number, but I’ll be right on the front corner. Hope to see lots of you there!
Due to construction, Fanime put Artist Alley in a separate tent-like building behind the San Jose Convention Center, on Market Street. It is blue and white and shaped like a giant caterpillar, so you can’t miss it. Come and venture into the belly of the giant blue art caterpillar.
Close up of the KINGLY panel from page 6, ‘cause why not? Congrats Adam, you get one of these.

Because of this ask I finally looked up Neverwinter, and wow it looks really cool! Definitely like something I would enjoy, but I’m not sure if I’ll play. When it comes to video games, especially games with stories, I will play for days at a time until I am done. I can’t put them down, which is REALLY bad since I work from home. Group based table top is much better for me because we can only play when everyone in the group is free and only for a few hours at a time. It’s just enough escapism to look forward to in my week to keep me entertained, creative, and productive. But something like an MMO… I’m very afraid I will easily get sucked into it in an unhealthy way. But MAYBE… maybe when the current campaign(s) I am in is over? In like another two years…
Hey cafel! The sketches in my book are all things I doodled in my spare time and liked enough to fix up, color, and have printed. You’ll see when you get it, but the back of the book says, “My Escape is a collection of sketches done in my free time, whenever I felt like I needed an escape from the real world,” hence the title hurhurhur. Having time to draw freely is really precious to a lot of working artists, so my sketchbook is a labor of all the things I love to draw… which is mostly my OCs and D&D characters. ^^;; If there is a theme to it, that is it.
For the process of assembling, I looked at other sketchbooks I really liked and how those artists put their books together. Then I arranged my finished pages based on things like colors and how pleasing everything looked together.
If you want to make one of your own, I’d suggest getting other sketchbooks and artbooks from several of your favorite artists and making something of a hybrid of all the qualities you like about them! Maybe you like the size of one sketchbook, but you don’t like the paper. Maybe one artist writes a lot about their process, and another writes nothing at all, or one has a solid theme and the other is all over the place. It really depends on what you want to do, but having a collection of books from the people who inspire you is a great starting point. I hope this helps, and good luck! And thanks so much for getting my first sketchbook. T u T;;
Some promotional illustration work I did for Kristine Marsh of Kightingale Studio! Her characters were so much fun to draw. You can get these as prints or in an artbook exclusively through Kristine’s kickstarter for her animation project, Samurai Chinchilla. Please check it out, spread the word, maybe like them on Facebook, and ENTER THE WORLD OF SAMURAI CHINCHILLA~!! Kickstarter ends May 31st.
